The Broad is a contemporary art museum founded by philanthropists Eli and Edythe Broad, opened in September 2015 on Grand Avenue in Downtown Los Angeles. Its building by Diller Scofidio + Renfro wraps the collection vault in a porous white honeycomb 'veil'. The collection of nearly 2,000 works by some 200 artists spans postwar and contemporary art, from Warhol, Lichtenstein and Ruscha to Basquiat, Cindy Sherman, Jeff Koons, Kara Walker and Takashi Murakami. General admission is free, and Yayoi Kusama's Infinity Mirrored Room is among the most sought-after sights in LA.
