The Deutsches Hafenmuseum is still being built up on the Bremer Kai in the Hamburg port, and Schuppen 50A is its interim site. A 2,500 m² Schaudepot shows more than 10,000 objects on harbour work, cargo handling, shipbuilding and river shipping. Large objects stand on the quay outside, and the PEKING, a four-masted barque from 1911, can be visited on guided tours in season. The museum belongs to the Stiftung Historische Museen Hamburg.
