The Atomium is a modernist landmark built for the 1958 Brussels World's Fair, shaped as an iron crystal magnified 165 billion times. Visitors move through its spheres by stairs, escalator and lift, passing a permanent exhibition on its history and changing light and sound installations. The top sphere offers a panoramic view over Brussels, and a restaurant sits in the highest accessible sphere.
