The Frick Collection occupe le somptueux hôtel particulier édifié en 1914 pour le magnat de l'acier Henry Clay Frick, dans l'Upper East Side de Manhattan. Ses galeries intimes, entièrement meublées, réunissent l'une des plus belles collections d'art européen des États-Unis, de la Renaissance à la fin du XIXe siècle, ainsi que des sculptures, du mobilier français, des porcelaines et des émaux de Limoges. Parmi les chefs-d'œuvre : trois Vermeer, le Saint François dans le désert de Bellini, les portraits en vis-à-vis de Thomas More et Thomas Cromwell par Holbein, et Les Progrès de l'amour de Fragonard. Le musée a rouvert au printemps 2025 après une importante rénovation de sa demeure historique.
