Albertina Modern è la seconda sede viennese dell'Albertina, inaugurata nel 2020 all'interno della storica Künstlerhaus su Karlsplatz, eretta nel 1865 e sottoposta a restauro e ampliamento tra il 2017 e il 2020. Attingendo a un patrimonio di oltre 60.000 opere realizzate da circa 5.000 artisti, tra cui spicca la Essl Collection, il museo allestisce grandi mostre temporanee di arte moderna e contemporanea su una superficie di oltre 2.000 m². L'arte austriaca occupa un ruolo centrale, con nuclei cospicui di Maria Lassnig, Franz West, Erwin Wurm e VALIE EXPORT, affiancati da celebri figure internazionali come Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein e Anselm Kiefer.
