El Museo Cerralbo ocupa el suntuoso palacete madrileño que el XVII marqués de Cerralbo mandó construir a finales del siglo XIX para exhibir sus colecciones privadas. Apenas modificado desde su apertura al público en 1944, el palacio conserva pinturas, armaduras, piezas arqueológicas, monedas y artes decorativas exactamente tal y como el marqués las dispuso en sus salones dorados, su salón de baile y su biblioteca. Una auténtica cápsula del tiempo que ofrece un contrapunto íntimo frente a las grandes pinacotecas estatales de Madrid.
