Inaugurada en junio de 2023 tras casi dos décadas de obras, la Galería de las Colecciones Reales exhibe parte del fondo de 155.000 piezas de Patrimonio Nacional, con obras que abarcan desde el siglo XII hasta el XIX. El edificio, revestido de granito e integrado en la ladera bajo el Palacio Real en la Cuesta de la Vega, alberga pinturas de Velázquez, Caravaggio y Tiziano, junto con armaduras reales, tapices y carruajes de gala. Se encuentra junto al Palacio Real y la Catedral de la Almudena, en la Plaza de la Armería; la entrada combinada para el Palacio y la Galería cuesta 24 € (12 € tarifa reducida).
