El Humboldt Forum ocupa el reconstruït Berliner Schloss a la Schlossplatz, inaugurat per etapes entre el 2020 i el 2022. La segona i la tercera planta acullen el Ethnologisches Museum i el Museum für Asiatische Kunst: prop de 20.000 peces que van des de la porta de Sanchi i les pintures murals de les coves de Turfan fins a una casa de te japonesa, presentades amb una mirada crítica envers la procedència i la història colonial. A la primera planta s'hi troben l'exposició BERLIN GLOBAL i el Humboldt Lab, d'accés gratuït, mentre que diverses mostres lliures repartides per tot l'edifici recorren 800 anys d'història de l'indret, des dels soterranis de l'antic palau fins al Palast der Republik.
