Gropius Bau 由 Martin Gropius 與 Heino Schmieden 於 1877 至 1881 年間興建,原為柏林的裝飾藝術博物館。建築於 1945 年嚴重受損,經修復後於 1981 年重新開放。如今展館由 Berliner Festspiele 營運,本身不設常設館藏,專注策劃當代藝術家的大型特展與現場表演。位於地面的 BAUBAU 由 Kerstin Brätsch 設計,是個免費開放予兒童的遊樂空間。
