Neue Nationalgalerie 於 1968 年落成啟用,是 Ludwig Mies van der Rohe 生前最後一座建築傑作:懸浮鋼結構屋頂下是一座宏偉通透的玻璃大堂,展覽廳則設於地庫。建築經 David Chipperfield 匠心修復後,於 2021 年重新對外開放。地下展廳長期展出 Nationalgalerie 的二十世紀藝術館藏,涵蓋表現主義、1920 年代柏林風潮至戰後東西德藝術;上層玻璃大廳則專門舉辦各項大型專題特展。
