Fundado em 1994 no antigo complexo do Quartel-General do Exército, em Yongsan, o War Memorial of Korea documenta a história militar da Coreia desde os conflitos pré-históricos até à Guerra da Coreia e ao período posterior. Sete salas interiores apresentam cerca de 10 000 dos seus 33 000 artefactos, entre eles a lista de honra do Memorial Hall, dioramas de guerra e salas dedicadas à Guerra da Coreia e às forças expedicionárias coreanas no exterior. A Military Equipment Zone, ao ar livre, distribui tanques, aeronaves e veículos blindados pelo recinto, que também conta com um Children's Museum.
