Fondato nel 1988 come successore del primo museo ebraico al mondo (inaugurato nel 1895), il Jewish Museum Vienna ha sede a Palais Eskeles, in Dorotheergasse. Qui la mostra permanente «La nostra città!» («Our City!») ripercorre la storia della Vienna ebraica dal Medioevo alla Shoah fino ai giorni nostri, affiancata da un deposito a vista e da opere d'arte contemporanea. Una seconda sede in Judenplatz, a sette minuti a piedi, presenta gli scavi della sinagoga medievale distrutta nel 1421. Il biglietto unico è valido per entrambi i siti nell'arco di 7 giorni.
