Il Centre Pompidou è il radicale landmark "a rovescio" progettato da Renzo Piano, Richard Rogers e Gianfranco Franchini, con travi strutturali, tubature e scale mobili portate all'esterno e distinte da un codice cromatico. Inaugurato nel 1977 nel quartiere Beaubourg, ospita il Musée National d'Art Moderne, la più grande collezione d'arte moderna e contemporanea d'Europa, con opere di Matisse, Picasso, Kandinsky, Duchamp e Brancusi, insieme alla biblioteca pubblica Bpi e all'istituto di ricerca musicale IRCAM. L'edificio ha chiuso il 22 settembre 2025 per una ristrutturazione quinquennale e dovrebbe riaprire nel 2030; nel frattempo il programma "Constellation" distribuisce le mostre tra il Grand Palais, il nuovo Maison Pompidou, il Centre Pompidou-Metz e sedi partner in tutto il mondo.
