Tokyo Station Gallery occupe une partie de l’édifice Marunouchi restauré de Tokyo Station, conçu par Kingo Tatsuno et rouvert en 2012 après six ans et demi de travaux. Ses espaces d’exposition s’articulent autour de la structure d’origine de la gare, en brique et en acier, datant de 1914, qui offre aux expositions un cadre singulier marqué par le patrimoine industriel. La programmation se renouvelle plusieurs fois par an et propose des relectures de l’art moderne, ainsi que des expositions consacrées au chemin de fer, à l’architecture et au design, ou encore à l’art contemporain. Le musée est géré par la East Japan Railway Culture Foundation.
