Le Bröhan-Museum est né de la collection privée de l'entrepreneur Karl H. Bröhan, qui la présenta d'abord dans sa villa de Dahlem en 1973 avant de l'installer en 1983 dans une ancienne caserne appartenant à l'ensemble du Charlottenburg Palace ; il s'agit d'un musée d'État de Berlin depuis 1994. Réputé dans le monde entier, son fonds Art nouveau réunit notamment du mobilier signé Hector Guimard et Louis Majorelle, des porcelaines de Meissen, Sèvres et Royal Copenhagen, ainsi que des verreries d'Émile Gallé et Daum. Des créations Art déco et fonctionnalistes des années 1920 et 1930, complétées par des toiles de la Berlin Secession, viennent enrichir les collections. Le musée prépare actuellement une rénovation intégrale, dont le chantier doit débuter au printemps 2027.
