Inaugurado en octubre de 2023 en el interior del Centro Cultural de Belém, MAC/CCB sustituyó al Museu Coleção Berardo y es el mayor museo de arte moderno y contemporáneo de Lisboa. Sus exposiciones de colección reúnen obras de la Berardo Collection, Ellipse, Teixeira de Freitas y las colecciones del Estado portugués, y recorren el arte del siglo XX desde los inicios del modernismo hasta la actualidad. Junto a ellas, un intenso programa de exposiciones temporales y el Architecture Centre presentan a artistas contemporáneos y propuestas de arquitectura de Portugal y de otros países.
