The Frick Collection ist in dem prunkvollen Anwesen von 1914 untergebracht, das für den Stahlmagnaten Henry Clay Frick auf Manhattans Upper East Side errichtet wurde. In den intimen, möblierten Galerien befindet sich eine der bedeutendsten Sammlungen europäischer Kunst Amerikas, die von der Renaissance bis ins späte 19. Jahrhundert reicht, ergänzt durch Skulpturen, französische Möbel, Porzellan und Limoges-Emailarbeiten. Zu den Höhepunkten zählen drei Werke von Vermeer, Bellinis Der heilige Franziskus in der Wüste, Holbeins sich gegenüberhängende Porträts von Thomas More und Thomas Cromwell sowie Fragonards Progress of Love. Nach einer umfassenden Renovierung des historischen Gebäudes eröffnete das Museum im Frühjahr 2025 wieder.
