Die Neue Galerie New York widmet sich der deutschen und österreichischen Kunst und Design des frühen 20. Jahrhunderts und wurde 2001 vom Kunsthändler Serge Sabarsky und dem Philanthropen Ronald S. Lauder gegründet. Sie ist im William Starr Miller House untergebracht, einem 1914 von Carrere and Hastings entworfenen Beaux-Arts-Palais an der Museum Mile. Zu den Höhepunkten zählen Gustav Klimts Bildnis Adele Bloch-Bauer I (die „Die Frau in Gold“), Werke von Egon Schiele, Oskar Kokoschka und Ernst Ludwig Kirchner sowie dekorative Kunst der Wiener Werkstaette.
