DDR Museum 於 2006 年開幕,坐落於 Spree 河畔,與 Berlin Cathedral 隔河相望。館內設有大量鼓勵觸摸探索的互動展品,生動呈現昔日德意志民主共和國(東德)的日常生活。佔地 1,000 平方米的展區涵蓋校園、職場、度假、購物、意識形態、柏林圍牆以至 Stasi(國家安全部)等各個層面;焦點展品包括 Trabant P601 模擬駕駛體驗,以及一間完整陳列家具的 WBS 70 裝配式板樓公寓。館內所有展品解說均備有德語及英語對照。
