Neues Museum 由 Friedrich August Stüler 於 1843 至 1855 年間建造,在二次世界大戰後淪為廢墟,歷經 David Chipperfield 精心修復後於 2009 年重新開放,並特意保留了歷盡滄桑的歷史痕跡。館內藏有 Egyptian Museum and Papyrus Collection,包括舉世聞名的 Queen Nefertiti 半身像;同時亦設有 Museum of Prehistory and Early History,展出 Berlin Gold Hat 及 Schliemann 挖掘的特洛伊文物等重要珍藏。該館為 UNESCO 世界文化遺產 Museum Island 的重要組成部分。
