O museu nacional da Idade Média da França ocupa um conjunto notável de edifícios: as termas galo-romanas Thermes de Cluny, com seu imponente frigidarium do século I, e o flamejante Hôtel de Cluny, de estilo gótico. A coleção, com cerca de 23.000 objetos medievais, abrange tapeçarias, vitrais, marfins, esculturas e ourivesaria. A estrela indiscutível é o ciclo de seis tapeçarias A Dama e o Unicórnio, uma das grandes obras-primas da arte europeia.
