O edifício desconstrutivista de Frank Gehry, envolto em doze velas de vidro curvas sobre um conjunto de blocos brancos apelidado de "iceberg", situa-se junto ao Jardin d'Acclimatation, no Bois de Boulogne. Ao longo de onze galerias e terraços na cobertura, apresenta a coleção da fundação a par de grandes exposições temporárias e encomendas criadas especificamente para o espaço por artistas como Olafur Eliasson e Ellsworth Kelly.
