O National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC), inaugurado em 3 de abril de 2021, está localizado no histórico distrito de Fustat, na Cidade Velha do Cairo, às margens do Lago Ain El-Sira. Com cerca de 14 hectares, é o primeiro museu do mundo árabe dedicado a toda a amplitude da história de uma civilização. A peça central é a Royal Mummies Hall, no piso inferior, que abriga 22 múmias reais — incluindo Ramessés II, Hatshepsut e Tutmés III — transferidas do Egyptian Museum, na Tahrir Square, durante a célebre Golden Parade de 2021.
