O Giza Pyramid Complex ergue-se na borda do Deserto Ocidental, dominando Cairo, e é o sítio arqueológico mais icônico do Egito. Construído durante a Quarta Dinastia do Império Antigo (c. 2613–2494 a.C.), o complexo tem como centro três pirâmides monumentais: a Grande Pirâmide de Khufu (originalmente com 146,5 m de altura, a estrutura mais alta do mundo durante 3.800 anos), a Pirâmide de Khafre (143,5 m, ainda com parte do revestimento de calcário original no topo) e a menor Pirâmide de Menkaure (65 m). A Grande Esfinge, esculpida na rocha viva com corpo de leão e cabeça humana, guarda o acesso a leste. Em torno das pirâmides principais encontram-se pirâmides menores dedicadas a rainhas, tumbas em mastaba de nobres, templos funerários e templos do vale, caminhos processionais e vestígios de uma vila de trabalhadores. O sítio integra o Memphis and its Necropolis, Patrimônio Mundial da UNESCO, inscrito em 1979. Os visitantes podem explorar o planalto, entrar em algumas pirâmides selecionadas (em sistema de rotação) e visitar a Esfinge e os templos associados.
