SONGEUN est un espace d’art contemporain à but non lucratif, fondé en 1989 par la SONGEUN Art and Cultural Foundation pour soutenir les artistes émergents de Corée. Son spectaculaire bâtiment triangulaire, situé à Cheongdam-dong, a été conçu par Herzog & de Meuron et achevé en 2021 ; il s’agit du premier projet réalisé en Corée par le cabinet suisse. Depuis 2001, le SONGEUN Art Award, prix phare de la fondation, soutient les artistes contemporains coréens. La façade en béton à la texture évoquant le grain du bois fait écho au sens de son nom : « pin caché ».
