Installé sur le site de l'ancien London Aerodrome de Hendon, le RAF Museum abrite une collection aéronautique véritablement remarquable. Plus de 80 appareils occupent plusieurs hangars gigantesques — d'un Sopwith Camel à un Eurofighter Typhoon, en passant par un Spitfire, un bombardier Lancaster ou encore le cockpit d'un Vulcan dans lequel on peut prendre place. Le lieu est un peu excentré, au nord de Londres, mais l'entrée est entièrement gratuite et l'affluence bien moindre que dans les musées du centre. Les simulateurs de vol interactifs remportent un vif succès auprès des familles.
