Haut lieu berlinois consacré aux architectures antiques, édifié entre 1910 et 1930 pour abriter le Grand Autel de Pergame, la porte du marché de Milet et la porte d'Ishtar. Le bâtiment principal, situé sur la Museumsinsel, est entièrement fermé pour d'importants travaux de rénovation depuis le 23 octobre 2023. Les visiteurs peuvent néanmoins découvrir, à quelques pas de là (Am Kupfergraben 2), l'espace Pergamonmuseum. Das Panorama : il présente environ 80 sculptures originales de Pergame, mises en regard avec le panorama à 360° de la cité antique conçu par Yadegar Asisi. L'aile nord et le corps central du bâtiment, comprenant l'Autel de Pergame et le Museum für Islamische Kunst, rouvriront le 4 juin 2027. L'aile sud, abritant la porte d'Ishtar, restera fermée jusqu'en 2037.
