El Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía es el museo nacional español de arte de los siglos XX y XXI, y conforma el extremo sur del Paseo del Arte madrileño junto al Prado y al Thyssen-Bornemisza. Su colección, compuesta por cerca de 25 000 obras, abarca la modernidad española y latinoamericana, con el Guernica de Picasso como pieza central junto a grandes creaciones de Dalí y Miró. El museo se distribuye entre el histórico Edificio Sabatini del siglo XVIII y la ampliación contemporánea diseñada por Jean Nouvel, y ofrece una activa programación de exposiciones temporales de arte contemporáneo.
