El Museo del Traje es el museo nacional dedicado a la indumentaria en España. Custodia más de 160 000 piezas entre prendas históricas, accesorios y textiles que abarcan desde la Edad Media hasta la actualidad. Su recorrido permanente transita por la vestimenta histórica y tradicional hasta alcanzar la alta costura del siglo XX, con creaciones de Balenciaga, Fortuny y Pertegaz, acompañada de un dinámico programa de exposiciones temporales. La institución acoge además el Centro de Investigación del Patrimonio Etnológico y tiene su sede en un singular edificio racionalista de la década de 1970, situado junto a la Ciudad Universitaria.
