Twice a day, a draugr leads families through the museum. A draugr is a Viking Age zombie, and on this 45-minute dramatised tour it tells stories from a world where the line between the living and the dead wasn't always clear. It runs at 11:00 and 13:00, in Swedish only.
The rest is for everyone, all week. You can meet the Völva, a seeress, and have your future foretold any day from 14:00 to 16:00. Kids get a Monster Hunt, searching the museum for creatures from Norse myth and collecting them in their own Bestiary. On 31 October the 14:00 slot becomes a themed tour on blót, the Viking Age sacrificial ceremonies. A seeress taking questions every afternoon is more than SMHI will commit to for week 44.
It's all included with admission: 239 SEK for adults, and from 24 October under-15s go free with an adult. English guided tours still run at 10:30, 12:30 and 15:30, and the 11-minute Ragnfrid's Saga ride is included.
The draugr family tour
A Viking Age zombie leads a 45-minute dramatised tour, telling tales of a world where the living and the dead mixed (Swedish only, 11:00 and 13:00).
The Völva
A seeress sits in the museum every afternoon from 14:00 to 16:00 and foretells your future if you dare ask.
The Monster Hunt
Families search the museum for strange creatures from the Viking Age and Norse mythology and collect them in their own Bestiary.
The blót tour on 31 October
At 14:00 on Halloween, a themed tour on Viking Age sacrificial ceremonies replaces the regular Swedish guided tour.
From 24 October under-15s get in free with an adult. Djurgården's visitor centre suggests it for children from about five or six, and the draugr tour is in Swedish only.
