Το πρώτο δημόσιο μουσείο του Βερολίνου, σχεδιασμένο από τον Karl Friedrich Schinkel και εγκαινιασμένο το 1830, δεσπόζει απέναντι από το Lustgarten με δεκαοκτώ ιωνικούς κίονες και μια θολωτή ροτόντα κατά τα πρότυπα του Πανθέου της Ρώμης. Φιλοξενεί τη μόνιμη έκθεση της Antikensammlung για τους Έλληνες, τους Ετρούσκους και τους Ρωμαίους, με κορυφαία εκθέματα όπως η Θεά του Βερολίνου, το Προσευχόμενο Αγόρι και οι προσωπογραφίες του Καίσαρα και της Κλεοπάτρας. Ένα δεύτερο «μπλε δωμάτιο» παρουσιάζει περισσότερα από 1.300 αρχαία νομίσματα από το Münzkabinett, ενώ ο επάνω όροφος στεγάζει μία από τις σημαντικότερες ετρουσκικές συλλογές εκτός Ιταλίας.
