Errichtet für die Weltausstellung von 1900, ist der Grand Palais des Champs-Élysées ein Baudenkmal des Beaux-Arts- und Art-Nouveau-Stils, berühmt für sein kolossales, tonnengewölbtes Glasdach. Nach einer Restaurierung im Wert von 466 Millionen Euro öffnete er 2025 wieder vollständig seine Türen – mit erweiterten Galeries Nationales für große Ausstellungen, einem neuen Wissenschaftsbereich für Kinder und mehr Kapazität für Besucher. Sein monumentales Hauptschiff, die Nave, ist Schauplatz von Kunstmessen, Modeschauen und Performances (2024 fanden hier auch Olympia-Wettbewerbe statt), während im Westflügel die Rückkehr des naturwissenschaftlichen Museums Palais de la Découverte bevorsteht.
