Das 2013 in einem ehemaligen Lagerhaus in der Rua do Vale eröffnete Atelier-Museu Júlio Pomar, das der Stadtrat von Lissabon erworben hatte, wurde von Pritzker-Preisträger Álvaro Siza rund um eine zurückhaltend gestaltete zentrale Galerie neu konzipiert. Es wird vom städtischen Kulturunternehmen EGEAC gemeinsam mit der Júlio Pomar Foundation betrieben und bewahrt die Sammlung des Künstlers mit Gemälden, Zeichnungen, Druckgrafiken, Skulpturen und Assemblagen. Statt einer Dauerausstellung zeigt es wechselnde Präsentationen, die Pomars sieben Jahrzehnte umfassendes Schaffen in einen Dialog mit anderen Künstlern setzen.
