El National Archives Museum s'ubica al monumental edifici neoclàssic d'arxius dissenyat per John Russell Pope el 1935 a Constitution Avenue, on s'exposen les Charters of Freedom —els exemplars originals de la Declaració d'Independència, la Constitució i la Carta de Drets— sota la cúpula de la Rotunda. Al seu costat s'exhibeix un exemplar original de la Magna Carta de 1297 a la David M. Rubenstein Gallery, així com The American Story, una galeria permanent inaugurada el novembre de 2025 que utilitza la intel·ligència artificial per permetre explorar milions de documents d'arxiu. Un Discovery Center adreçat al públic més jove i la mostra rotativa «Opening the Vault», amb tresors que poques vegades surten a la llum, completen el museu. L'entrada és gratuïta.
