Renwick Gallery 是 Smithsonian American Art Museum 專門展示當代工藝與裝飾藝術的分館,座落於 Lafayette Square,距離 White House 僅一個街區。建築由 James Renwick Jr. 於 1859 年為銀行家 William Wilson Corcoran 設計,採用他深受羅浮宮啟發的第二帝國風格打造,成為全美首幢專為藝術博物館而建的建築物;大門上方至今仍刻有「Dedicated to Art」(獻給藝術)的銘文,參議員 Charles Sumner 曾稱其為「美洲羅浮宮」。1962 年,在 Jacqueline Kennedy 的倡議發起下,建築免於被拆卸的命運,並於 1972 年作為 Smithsonian 工藝展館重新開放。館內樓高兩層,以 Grand Salon 為核心空間,展出美國創作者運用纖維、陶瓷、玻璃、金屬及木材打造的工藝作品。展館免費入場。請注意:該館現正進行展覽重新布展工程,將暫停對外開放至 2026 年 11 月 13 日,屆時將呈獻《手工:Renwick Gallery 當代工藝展》(Handwork: Contemporary Craft at the Renwick Gallery)。

Barrier-free ramp access at the 17th Street entrance; all areas of the building are served by elevators and accessible restrooms are located throughout. Strollers should also use the 17th Street ramp.
