Museum für Naturkunde 創立於 1810 年,自 1889 年起座落於 Invalidenstraße 上宏偉的歷史建築內。作為全球頂尖的自然歷史博物館之一,它同時是一所隸屬 Leibniz 協會的研究機構,館藏物件高達約 3,000 萬件。館內的恐龍展廳氣勢磅礡,由全球最高的裝配恐龍骨架 Giraffatitan brancai 領銜,並展出迄今出土最完整的始祖鳥化石。除了恐龍之外,訪客還可以漫步於浸泡在乙醇中、藏量達百萬件的濕標本館(Wet Collection),細賞各類礦物與隕石,並在展廳內現場觀察研究人員如何將昆蟲標本數位化存檔。
