Fondato dall’imprenditore Minoru Mori e inaugurato nel 2003, il Mori Art Museum occupa gli ultimi piani della Roppongi Hills Mori Tower, a 53 piani sopra la città. Propone grandi mostre internazionali d’arte contemporanea, affiancate da rassegne a rotazione dedicate alla propria collezione (MAM Collection, MAM Screen, MAM Research), con particolare attenzione agli artisti del Giappone e dell’area Asia-Pacifico. A differenza di molti importanti musei di Tokyo, resta aperto fino alle 22:00 quasi tutte le sere, attirando una quota significativa di visitatori nelle ore serali.
