Inaugurato nel 2013 in un ex magazzino di Rua do Vale acquistato dal Comune di Lisbona, l’Atelier-Museu Júlio Pomar è stato riprogettato dal vincitore del Pritzker Álvaro Siza intorno a una galleria centrale dall’impostazione essenziale. Gestito dalla società culturale del Comune EGEAC insieme alla Fundação Júlio Pomar, conserva la collezione dell’artista, con dipinti, disegni, stampe, sculture e assemblaggi. Anziché proporre un allestimento permanente, presenta mostre temporanee che mettono in dialogo i sette decenni di attività di Pomar con quelli di altri artisti.
