El National Museum of Western Art (NMWA) es la pinacoteca nacional de Japón dedicada al arte occidental y se articula en torno a la colección del industrial Kojiro Matsukata. Su Main Building, terminado en 1959, fue diseñado por Le Corbusier junto con los arquitectos japoneses Kunio Maekawa y Junzo Sakakura, y en 2016 fue inscrito en la lista del Patrimonio Mundial de la UNESCO como parte de «The Architectural Work of Le Corbusier». La colección abarca la pintura y la escultura occidentales desde la Edad Media hasta comienzos del siglo XX, e incluye importantes obras impresionistas y de Rodin, expuestas en la explanada de acceso.
