Fundada por Arne Glimcher en Boston en 1960, Pace se ha convertido en una de las galerías de arte contemporáneo y moderno más importantes del mundo. Su sede insignia en Nueva York, en el 540 West 25th Street, inaugurada en 2019, es una torre de ocho pisos construida especialmente y revestida en piedra volcánica de acabado mate extraída del Monte Etna, en Sicilia. En su interior, seis plantas de galerías inundadas de luz albergan grandes exposiciones junto con Pace Live, un programa de música, danza, cine y conversaciones. La galería representa a destacados legados de artistas modernos y a artistas vivos, desde David Hockney y Julian Schnabel hasta Emily Kam Kngwarray.
