Γνωστό ως MOMAT, υπήρξε το πρώτο εθνικό μουσείο τέχνης της Ιαπωνίας. Άνοιξε το 1952 και το 1969 μεταφέρθηκε στο σημερινό του κτίριο στο Kitanomaru Park, σχεδιασμένο από τον Yoshiro Taniguchi.
