Το War Memorial of Korea ιδρύθηκε το 1994 στον χώρο όπου βρισκόταν παλαιότερα το Αρχηγείο του Στρατού, στο Yongsan, και παρουσιάζει τη στρατιωτική ιστορία της Κορέας, από τις συγκρούσεις της προϊστορικής εποχής έως τον Πόλεμο της Κορέας και πέρα από αυτόν. Σε επτά εσωτερικές αίθουσες εκτίθενται περίπου 10.000 από τα 33.000 αντικείμενα της συλλογής, μεταξύ των οποίων το τιμητικό μητρώο της Memorial Hall, διοράματα πολεμικών σκηνών και αίθουσες αφιερωμένες στον Πόλεμο της Κορέας και στις εκστρατευτικές δυνάμεις της Κορέας στο εξωτερικό. Στον υπαίθριο Military Equipment Zone, άρματα μάχης, αεροσκάφη και τεθωρακισμένα οχήματα απλώνονται στον χώρο, ενώ υπάρχει και ξεχωριστό Children's Museum.
