Το MMCA Deoksugung είναι παράρτημα του Εθνικού Μουσείου Μοντέρνας και Σύγχρονης Τέχνης της Κορέας και στεγάζεται στη δυτική πτέρυγα του Seokjojeon, ενός νεοκλασικού πέτρινου κτιρίου που ολοκληρώθηκε το 1910, εντός των ανακτόρων Deoksugung. Λειτουργεί ως μουσείο τέχνης από το 1933 και άνοιξε ξανά το 1998 ως παράρτημα αφιερωμένο στη νεότερη τέχνη, με επίκεντρο την κορεατική νεότερη τέχνη της περιόδου περίπου 1900–1960, καθώς και τη νεότερη τέχνη της Ασίας και τη διεθνή νεότερη τέχνη. Οι επισκέπτες πρέπει να εισέλθουν από την πύλη Daehanmun των ανακτόρων, ενώ η είσοδος στο Deoksugung χρεώνεται ξεχωριστά από την είσοδο στο μουσείο.
