Το Art Sonje Center ιδρύθηκε το 1998 από την πολιτιστική ευεργέτιδα Heeja K Chung ως επέκταση του Daewoo Foundation και αποτελεί έναν από τους κορυφαίους φορείς σύγχρονης τέχνης της Σεούλ που δεν διαθέτουν συλλογή.
