Österreichs nationales Theatermuseum residiert im Palais Lobkowitz, einem Barockpalais aus den 1690er-Jahren. Dessen Festsaal, der Eroica-Saal, bildete einst die Kulisse für die ersten Aufführungen von Beethovens 3. Symphonie. Als Teil des KHM-Museumsverbands beherbergt das Haus über zwei Millionen Objekte – von Bühnenbildmodellen, Kostümen und Zeichnungen bis hin zu Fotografien und Puppen, darunter auch Richard Teschners Figurenspiegel. Zu den herausragenden Schätzen zählt Gustav Klimts Gemälde Nuda Veritas (1899). Seit August 2025 ist das Museum wegen umfassender Renovierungsarbeiten vorübergehend geschlossen.
