Die Albertina zählt zu den bedeutendsten grafischen Sammlungen der Welt. Sie wurde 1776 von Herzog Albert von Sachsen-Teschen gegründet und umfasst rund 65.000 Zeichnungen sowie eine Million Druckgrafiken alter Meister – von Dürers Feldhasen bis hin zu Leonardo da Vinci. Das Palais auf der einstigen Augustinerbastei beherbergt zudem 20 restaurierte habsburgische Prunkräume sowie die Sammlung Batliner mit moderner Kunst von Monet bis Picasso. Ganzjährig sind hochkarätige Sonderausstellungen zu Zeichnung, Malerei und Fotografie zu sehen.
