Das National Museum of Western Art (NMWA) ist Japans staatliches Museum für westliche Kunst. Es geht auf die Sammlung des Industriellen Kojiro Matsukata zurück. Sein Main Building wurde 1959 fertiggestellt und von Le Corbusier gemeinsam mit den japanischen Architekten Kunio Maekawa und Junzo Sakakura entworfen. 2016 wurde es als Teil von „The Architectural Work of Le Corbusier“ in die UNESCO-Welterbeliste aufgenommen. Die Sammlung umfasst westliche Malerei und Skulptur vom Mittelalter bis zum frühen 20. Jahrhundert, darunter bedeutende Werke des Impressionismus und von Rodin, die im Vorplatz ausgestellt sind.
