Das im Oktober 2023 im Centro Cultural de Belém eröffnete MAC/CCB – Museum of Contemporary Art and Architecture Centre trat an die Stelle des Museu Coleção Berardo und ist Lissabons größtes Museum für moderne und zeitgenössische Kunst. Die Präsentationen der Sammlung greifen auf Bestände der Berardo-, Ellipse-, Teixeira de Freitas- und portugiesischen Staatssammlungen zurück und zeichnen die Entwicklung der Kunst des 20. Jahrhunderts vom frühen Modernismus bis in die Gegenwart nach. Ergänzt werden sie durch ein vielseitiges Programm wechselnder Ausstellungen sowie ein Architecture Centre, das zeitgenössische Kunstschaffende und Architektur aus Portugal und aller Welt vorstellt.
