El Centre Pompidou és l'emblemàtic edifici "de dins a fora" dissenyat per Renzo Piano, Richard Rogers i Gianfranco Franchini, amb les seves bigues estructurals, canonades i escales mecàniques traslladades a l'exterior i identificades per colors. Inaugurat el 1977 al barri de Beaubourg, acull el Musee National d'Art Moderne, la col·lecció d'art modern i contemporani més gran d'Europa, amb obres de Matisse, Picasso, Kandinsky, Duchamp i Brancusi, juntament amb la biblioteca pública Bpi i l'institut de recerca musical IRCAM. L'edifici va tancar el 22 de setembre de 2025 per emprendre una renovació de cinc anys i té previst reobrir el 2030; mentrestant, el seu programa "Constellation" reparteix les exposicions entre el Grand Palais, el nou Maison Pompidou, el Centre Pompidou-Metz i altres espais associats arreu del món.
