Seoul Museum of History記錄首爾的變遷:由朝鮮王朝首都漢陽,歷經大韓帝國、日本殖民統治,直至現代大韓民國。常設展廳藏有約25萬件文物,當中約半數由市民捐贈;館內亦設有大型城市模型及多媒體展覽,勾勒首爾的未來。博物館位於市中心鐘路區,毗鄰Gyeonghuigung Palace,並定期舉辦免費專題展覽,題材涵蓋攝影、城市歷史及首爾物質文化。
